The Structure

Structure Overview

The Structure is the schema for the data in your Txture instance. It defines which Types of Assets and Links exist, what their Properties are, and how they are grouped together in Aspects.

On the Structure page, you will find the following elements:

  • Each white box in the Structure represents an Aspect. Aspects are named groups for Asset Types and can be nested. They primarily serve organizational purposes to improve the overall overview of the Structure.
  • The gray boxes with icons represent Asset Types. Each Asset in Txture belongs to exactly one Asset Type. The Asset Type defines which Links and Properties an Asset can have.

When an Asset Type is selected, you can also inspect its details in the right details sidebar:

The Details Sidebar to the right.

Additionally, with an Asset Type selected, you can select any of the adjacent Link Types to inspect them in the sidebar. For more in-depth information about the Structure, please refer to the Structure Editor page.

Selecting reveals adjacent Link Types.

Structure History

In addition to the current state of the Structure, you can view the Structure History by clicking the icon in the left sidebar:

The Structure History.

This panel lists past changes to the Structure with their respective author and comment. Selecting any entry will show the Structure as it was after the selected change was applied. Selecting the same change again will revert the view to the current state of the Structure.
