Azure Migrate Data Source
This data source establishes a connection to Microsoft Azure Migrate for extracting discovered infrastructure data.
Connection configuration
To configure an Azure Migrate data source in Txture you need the following credentials:
- Client App ID - Application (client) ID
- Client Secret - The secret value of your application
- Tenant - Directory (tenant) ID
- Subscription ID - Your Azure subscription ID
- Resource Group - The resource group containing your Migrate project
- Migrate Project - The name of your Azure Migrate project
Note: Make sure your Azure service principal
has the permissions to read the migrate project (Azure
Documentation).
Importable types
The Azure Migrate importer has a fixed schema:
Asset types
| Asset-Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Machine | A machine in the Migrate Project. |
| Database | A database in the Migrate Project. |
| Database Instance | A database instance in the Migrate Project. |
| Storage | A storage in the Migrate Project. |
| Technical Component | AppsAndRoles (applications, bizTalkServers, exchangeServers, sharePointServers, systemCenters, webApplications) of a machine in the Migrate Project. |
Link types
| Link-Type | Description |
|---|---|
| Machine -> Storage | Associations between machines and storages will be established: which machine uses which storage? |
| Technical Component -> Machine | Associations between technical components and machines will be established: which technical component runs on which machine? |
Creating importers
After configuring the data source, you can create auto-configured importers to bring data from Azure Migrate into Txture.
