Component Integrator configuration

You use Component Integrator to interact with an external entity, or component, from a workflow step. For example, a component can be a Java™ object or Java Message Service object.

As a workflow administrator, you interact with Component Integrator and work with the workflow author to create and configure component queues.

The Content Engine component CE_Operations includes functions to get and set properties, file and unfile objects from folders, and publish a document. Before you can include the CE_Operations component, you must specify the appropriate JAAS credentials for the component. Permissions must be sufficient to run the CE_Operations component on behalf of the workflow step that calls the component. Full control is likely sufficient for most actions. Lower permissions might also work depending on the security configuration of the system and the action to be performed. For more information, see JAAS credentials.
