Creating a source-destination pair

Before you can map source and destination half maps for a specific deployment, you must first create a source-destination pair. You can also edit an existing source-destination pair.

To create a source-destination pair:

  1. From the File menu, select New, then select Source-Destination Pair.
  2. In the New Source-Destination Pair dialog box, complete the fields as shown in the following table.

    Field Instructions
    Name Type a name for the new pair.
    Description Optionally, type a description for the new pair.
    Source Environment Select the environment from which your application assets are to be exported or copied.
    Destination Environment Select the environment to which your application assets are to be imported or copied.
  3. Click Finish. FileNet® Deployment Manager adds the new source-destination pair to the deployment tree. The new source-destination pair is immediately visible under the Source-Destination pairs node of the FileNet Deployment Manager Tree View pane.
