The collectSoftwareInventory command collects the software inventory from IBM® PowerKVM system in a compressed file format.

collectSoftwareInventory

Description

The collectSoftwareInventory command collects the software inventory and generates a compressed file of the collection and saves at /tmp. The compressed file esaSWColl-yyyymmddhhmmss.zip contains the list-rpm.out file that has the information about the list of all installed rpm's.

Usage

To view the hardware software inventory collection, follow these steps:
  1. Log in to the IBM PowerKVM system.
  2. In command line, go to /opt/ibm/seprovider/bin.
  3. Run the command collectSoftwareInventory.
