IBM® z/OS Connect is installed on z/OS by using
SMP/E following the instructions in the Program Directory. After you have completed the z/OS Connect Program Directory instructions, there are
postinstallation tasks to complete.
Before you begin
Your system must meet the required hardware and software requirements to install and run z/OS Connect. For more details on these requirements, see IBM z/OS Connect system requirements.
About this task
The SMP/E installation process puts the product code onto your system.
Procedure

Follow the instructions in the Program Directory to install z/OS Connect by using SMP/E.

Note: The product code is installed into a Unix System Services directory, referred to in this
product documentation as the <installation_path>. By default, the product
code is installed in /usr/lpp/IBM/zosconnect/v3r0.

Apply the latest maintenance to update the product.
Results
z/OS Connect is installed.
