Migrate data, including metadata, between IBM® Software Hub instances with the export-import plug-in.
Extended description
export-import is a command-line interface
(CLI) utility for IBM Software Hub that can perform
IBM Software Hub add-on auxiliary functions such as
export and import through registered IBM Software Hub
auxiliary assemblies. The utility allows for the migration of IBM Software Hub data from one instance to another.
Prerequisites

Before you run any
cpd-clicommands, download thecpd-cli14.3.0 command-line utility for your operating system and IBM Software Hub edition. For more information, see Installing the IBM Software Hub command-line interface (cpd-cli). - The Red Hat® OpenShift® client oc is included in the PATH and has access to the IBM Software Hub cluster.
- The profile configuration must be set before you can run export-import commands. For more information, see Creating a profile to use the cpd-cli management commands.
- Setup a shared volume PVC/PV.
- When IBM Software Hub is
installed on NFS, the NFS storage must be configured with
no_root_squash.
Security and roles
The export-import command requires cluster
administrator or similar roles.
