Basic steps in data analysis

Analyzing data with IBM® SPSS® Statistics is easy. All you have to do is:

Get your data into IBM SPSS Statistics. You can open a previously saved IBM SPSS Statistics data file, you can read a spreadsheet, database, or text data file, or you can enter your data directly in the Data Editor.

Select a procedure. Select a procedure from the menus to calculate statistics or to create a chart.

Select the variables for the analysis. The variables in the data file are displayed in a dialog box for the procedure.

Run the procedure and look at the results. Results are displayed in the Viewer.
