Encryption Facility for z/OS

The IBM Encryption Facility for z/OS Client V1.2 is composed of two parts:

• The IBM Java Client enables you to control encryption and decryption of data on platforms other than z/OS or on z/OS systems that do not use the Encryption Services Feature of the IBM Encryption Facility for z/OS V1.1 product. In that way, you can exchange encrypted data between z/OS and non-z/OS platforms when the encrypted data is created through the Encryption Services Feature.
• The IBM Decryption Client for z/OS allows you to decrypt data that has been created through the Encryption Services Feature. The Decryption Client is installed on z/OS platforms.
