IKJ55144E
OBTAIN MACRO RETURN CODE retcode.

Explanation

This is a second level message for message IKJ55143E. You specified a broadcast data set name and volume on the BROADCAST keyword of the IKJTSOxx parmlib member during a PARMLIB UPDATE(xx) or SET IKJTSO=xx command. However, the OBTAIN macro returned a non-zero return code (as shown in the message) when trying to verify that the data set was on the specified volume.

For more information on the meaning of the OBTAIN return code, refer to z/OS DFSMSdfp Advanced Services.

System action

The PARMLIB UPDATE(xx) or SET IKJTSO=xx command fails.

User response

In addition to looking up the meaning of the OBTAIN return code, you should also verify the following:
  • The broadcast data set name was specified correctly in the DATASET subfield of the BROADCAST keyword of IKJTSOxx.
  • The volume name was specified correctly in the VOLUME subfield of the BROADCAST keyword of IKJTSOxx.
  • The volume specified is the volume on which the broadcast data set actually resides.
  • The volume specified is mounted and available. The volume specified must refer to a DASD volume.
  • The broadcast data set is not a multivolume data set.
