Exporting data from a table z/OS ISPF User's Guide Vol II SC19-3628-00 |

The ISPF Table Utility supports an Export function, where data in an ISPF table is used to write a customizable report to a sequential file. The Export function is invoked by using either the EXPORT or FEXPORT primary commands from the table display screen for the table utility Edit and Browse functions. Note: The report does not show the values for extension variables
defined for table rows.
The EXPORT primary command displays the Export Layout panel, where you can control the layout of the table data in these ways:
The Table Export Report Options panel allows you to change the format of the report. Selecting the "Set options for IMPORT format report" option ensures the generated report is in a format that can be processed by the table utility Import function. The Export Data Set Attributes panel allows you to define the allocation attributes for the export data set. Figure 1 shows an example of the export report in a format suitable for the Import function: Figure 1. Export report example
