In the temporary directory where you downloaded the two Program Understanding Tool files, select the file ASMPUT.EXE to extract the rest of the Program Understanding Tool files into the same directory.

In the same directory, now select SETUP.EXE to install Program Understanding Tool, providing appropriate answers to the questions. This will install Program Understanding Tool on your PC.

As installed, the Program Understanding Tool toolbar buttons do not work on Windows 2000 or XP systems, and above. To resolve this, right-click on the Program Understanding Tool icon, and select Properties > Compatibility. Select Run this program in compatibility mode for: and select Windows 95 from the menu. Select Apply and then OK. Now the toolbar buttons should work.
