Information Management IBM InfoSphere MDM Custom Domain Hub, Version 10.1

Understanding batch transaction processing

There are two ways to perform batch transaction processing.

Based on your implementation, you can use either InfoSphere® MDM Custom Domain Hub J2SE Batch processor framework, or the InfoSphere MDM Custom Domain Hub WebSphere® Extended Deployment batch framework, if you use WebSphere Application Server. The InfoSphere MDM Custom Domain Hub WebSphere Extended Deployment batch framework is a feature in InfoSphere MDM Custom Domain Hub.

The J2SE Batch processor framework is a J2SE client application. You can use this framework to run transactions in a batch mode or to build custom batch jobs.

The InfoSphere MDM Custom Domain Hub WebSphere Extended Deployment batch framework includes a Long Running Execution Environment (LREE) and a batch application framework. The batch application runs within the LREE, which itself is a Java EE enterprise application. You can use this framework to run batch jobs.
