Configuring push notifications

Push notifications are messages sent from the server to mobile devices when Maximo® Mobile applications are being used.

Before you begin

To avail the push notification functionality, allow access to the internet or consider whitelisting particular domains and ports at the network level.

For Firebase Cloud Messaging (FCM) that is used by Google Play store apps, whitelist the following domains and ports:
- https://oauth2.googleapis.com:443
- https://fcm.googleapis.com:443
- https://firebaseinstallations.googleapis.com:443
For Apple Push Notifications that is used by Apple App store apps, whitelist the following domain and port:
- https://api.push.apple.com:443
