Deploying the EAR files on WebSphere Application Server

You manually rebuild and deploy Maximo® Adapter for Microsoft® Project EAR files on WebSphere® Application Server.

1. In install_home\deployment\ directory, run buildmaximoear.cmd. When build process completes there is a new maximo.ear file in the \install_home\deployment\default directory.
2. Open the Integrated Solutions Console and in the left navigation pane, click Applications > Application Types > WebSphere enterprise applications.
3. Select Install. If the maximo and maximoiehs applications are listed, select them and click Uninstall. Then open the WebSphere enterprise applications window again and click Install.
4. Browse to the location of the maximo.ear file, select the location, and click Next. The Maximo EAR files are saved in the install_home\deployment\default folder.
5. Click Next.
6. Select Fast Path and click Next.
7. On the Select installation options section accept the defaults values or specify your Application name, click Next.
8. In the Clusters and Servers section of the Map modules to servers window, select your web server and application server and click Apply and then Next.
9. In the Virtual host column of the Map virtual hosts for web modules window, select Maximo_host (or name of corresponding Maximo Virtual Host) from the drop down list and click Next.
10. Click Finish.
11. When the EAR file is deployed, save the file to the master configuration.
