Uninstalling

HSTE can be uninstalled without removing existing configuration files.

If you are uninstalling in order to upgrade your Aspera product, review the upgrade preparation steps in Before Upgrading or Downgrading.
Close or stop the following applications and services:
- FASP transfers
- SSH connections
Uninstall HSTE by running the following command:
```
# bash /opt/aspera/var/uninstall.sh
```

Note: This process does not remove Aspera configuration files. If you reinstall an Aspera product, these configuration files are applied to the new installation.
