Installing and configuring the Z Understand Linux container

Z Understand is a Linux® alternative to installing a server component on Windows.

Overview
The Z Understand Linux container uses a new generation of language scanners to build and manage application projects. It replaces the Windows-bound IBM ADDI Build Client. You can build and manage application projects by using the new Build CLI entirely from the Terminal on Linux or Linux on System z®.
Prerequisites
Make sure that the prerequisites are met before you run IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z Understand (Z Understand) on Linux or Linux on System z.
Installing
Download the IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z Understand (Z Understand) archive file and extract its contents.
Configuring
Complete the following steps to configure IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z Understand (Z Understand) on Linux.
Managing analysis projects
Scan and manage analysis projects by using the Z Understand container.
Migrating analysis projects from the Windows server
Rather than creating new analysis projects directly in the Z Understand Linux container, you can create analysis projects that are migrated from the Z Understand Windows server. 2.7.20+
Upgrading
Apply the following procedure to upgrade IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z Understand (Z Understand).
Uninstalling
Use the provided uninstall script to easily stop and remove the IBM watsonx Code Assistant for Z Understand (Z Understand) Linux container and its storage volume.
