Searching for sessions based on events

Use this procedure to search for All sessions, Active sessions, and Complete sessions based on an Event and an Event attribute.

Procedure

  1. Select Session search.
  2. Select the Session status. Choose from:
    • All sessions
    • Active sessions
    • Complete sessions
  3. Select the Application profile. The default is All applications.
  4. Select the Session end time. Choose from:
    • Last 5 minutes
    • Last 15 minutes
    • Last 30 minutes
    • Last hour
    • Last 12 hours
    • Last day
    • Last 1 week
    • Last 2 weeks
    • Custom date range - if you choose this option, enter the start and stop date, and click Apply.
  5. From the drop down, select Event.
  6. Select an Event name. For example, you can choose from: (This list contains events that are out of the box and any custom events you have created.)
    • Session Event Count
    • Session Fact Count
    • Session Count
    • Session ScreenViews
    • ScreenView Session Count
    • Session Duration (sec)
    • Session Size (MB)
    • Orientation Changes
    • Gestures
    • Unresponsive Gestures
    • Resize Gestures
    • Mobile App Exceptions
    • Mobile App Had Exceptions
    • Mobile App Session Count
    • Every Hit
    • Every Step
  7. Select the Operation. Choose =, >, >=, <, <=, Between, Exist, or Not exist. This list of operations is displayed depends on the Event selected.
  8. Enter the Event value. This step is only required if an Event value displays.
  9. To add another condition, select Add another condition.
  10. Select either AND or OR. This determines whether the second condition has to be met in addition to condition one, or if either condition is met in the search criteria.
  11. Select the Event.
  12. Select the Event name.
  13. Select or enter the Event value. You can add additional conditions, if needed.
  14. If you want to group the conditions, select Group conditions above. Grouping conditions is like adding parenthesis in mathematical equations.
  15. To add another condition group, select Add another condition group.
  16. After you have finished adding conditions and grouping, click Search. The Search results display.
