Dimension groups
A Dimension Group is a set of Dimensions. A dimension must be included in at least one dimension group. A Dimension Group is a set of Dimensions that can be displayed in the same report. A dimension must be included in at least one dimension group.
- A dimension group can only contain five dimensions.
- A dimension group can be thought of as the parent of dimensions.
- An event can be associated with one or more dimension groups.
Deleting dimension groups
When you delete a dimension group, it affects items that are associated with the dimension group. Deleted dimension groups are removed from any alerts that were using them.
When you delete a dimension group, other items are affected, including:
- Dimension groups not used by alerts are removed from the events.
- Alerts that use the dimension group are deleted.
