Selecting user accounts to install components

You can use the same user account to install all Predictive Insights components. For example, you can use the scadmin account that you created earlier.

If you wish to use different accounts to install Predictive Insights components, you must observe the following rules when selecting accounts:

  • The database component must be installed by a user who has permissions to create a database in the Db2 instance that is installed.
  • The Analytics component and Mediation Tool component must be installed by the user that installed IBM® Streams.
