Adding a provisioning template

Create a provisioning template that specifies a image profile, network profile, and a hardware profile.

Procedure

  1. To view a list of existing provisioning templates, go to Node Provisioning > Provisioning Templates.
  2. To create a provisioning template, click New.
  3. Specify the provisioning template name, and description.
  4. Specify the node name format. The node name format formats the provisioned node names.
  5. Select an image profile, network profile, and hardware profile. If a profile does not exist, you must first create it before you can associate it with a provisioning template.
  6. To create the provisioning template, click Create.

Results

The provisioning template is added.

What to do next

You can now add a node using the new provisioning template. By using the provisioning template, your nodes are provisioned with the corresponding image profile, network profile, and hardware profile as specified in the provisioning template. To provision nodes, you can power on the nodes and start provisioning. You can view the provisioning status of a node under the Status column under Infrastructure > Nodes.
