CEBT PERFORM TAKEOVER

These solutions include the z/OS® Automatic Restart Manager (ARM), CICS data sharing, VTAM® persistent sessions, and use of the cross-system coupling facility. The CEBT PERFORM TAKEOVER command initiates a takeover by the alternate CICS system, causing the active CICS system to sign off abnormally.

Options

Dump
Sends a message to the active CICS system requesting it to take a system dump from the CAVM data set. This request is not honored if the active CICS fails before the dump can be taken.
