Managing tenant settings
Tenant settings enable the system administrator to manage behavior settings at an environment and a feature level. Default tenant settings are applied as part of the onboarding process to IBM® Sterling Intelligent Promising. You can change these tenant settings later by using the user interface (UI) or an API.

Procedure
- Log in to Order Hub.
- To open the Tenant configurations page, from the menu, click Tenant.
- View the Location and Unit of measure Default shipping weight settings that are applied as part of the onboarding process.
- View the following Setting preferences:
- Inventory availability lookup window
- The maximum number of days allowed to search for inventory.
- Maximum shipping commitment days
- The maximum number of days that an item can be promised or fulfilled
- Inventory reservation expiration time
- The maximum amount of time that you can reserve inventory before it expires.
- Max consumption days
- Determines how far into the future capacity is exposed for order promising.
-
- Value set to 1
- Indicates that the seller only intends to accept orders for same-day fulfillment. Once the capacity for the current day is fully consumed, no additional orders are accepted.
- Value set to 2 or more
- Allows the seller to accept orders for future fulfillment dates, up to the number of days specified. However, setting a high value increases the seller’s commitment. IBM Sterling Intelligent Promising considers the product available to sell across the entire range, if fulfillment tasks are completed within that window.
- View the following Enabling features that you can activate.
- Segment rebalancing
- Enables segment allocation and sets the rebalancing frequency to every 6 hours at a minimum.
- To activate this feature, toggle the Enable allocation option to On and enter the number of hours for the Set allocation frequency option.
- The minimum time that you can set to rebalance your inventory is 6 hours and it is set to 0 by default. If the time is set to 0, reallocation is not enabled but the allocation for the supply sync still occurs. For more information, see Tenant settings.
