Workflows included with the configuration wizard

You can see a list of workflows by clicking on View Workflows from the Home page of the configuration wizard. Select a workflow from View Workflows to create customized scripts, instructions, and updated property files.

Database workflows

Transfer databases
Configure WebSphere Portal to use a database other than the default database or the database you are currently using. Use the scripts created with this workflow, along with other configuration instructions, to create databases, create users, assign permissions, transfer data, and complete other database related configuration tasks.
Connect to existing database domains
Share a database domain between two separate IBM® WebSphere® Portal instances (instance1 and instance2), where instance2 is connected to the instance1 database domain.

Security workflows

Enable federated LDAP security
Add an LDAP user registry to the default federated repository to store user account information for authorization.
Enable stand-alone LDAP security
Configure WebSphere Portal to use a stand-alone LDAP user registry to store all user account information for authorization.

Cluster workflows

Create a static cluster
Create a static cluster containing a primary node and additional node to handle fail over requests.

Utility workflows

Start Websphere Portal server
Use a script to start an instance of the WebSphere Portal server.
Stop WebSphere Portal Server
Use a script to stop an instance of the WebSphere Portal server.
Restart WebSphere Portal Server
Stops and restarts the WebSphere Portal server.
Recycle managed WebSphere Portal cell
Recycle the Deployment Manager and any WebSphere Portal Servers within a managed or clustered cell. Recycle the nodes within the cell.
