T - t-student distribution
The t-student distribution is a continuous distribution. Considering n independent random variables Z1,...,Zn that are distributed according to the normal distribution with mean mu and a fixed variance, a new variable Z is created as their average. If s is the standard deviation from the sample, the variable X = (Z-mu)/(s/sqrt(n)) follows the t-Student distribution with n-1 degrees of freedom.
The t-student distribution has one parameter, the number of degrees of freedom.
