What are the user roles for Experience Analytics?
Users can be assigned up to three roles. You must be assigned the OrgAdmin Role to access the Admin console.
RegularUser
RegularUsers can perform the following tasks:
- Reset your own password.
- Create, view, and edit workspaces.
- Create, view, and edit reports (widgets).
EventAdmin
EventAdmin users have the same permissions as the RegularUser role and can edit events.
Additionally, users assigned the EventAdmin role can edit reports that they own, as well as reports that are shared with other users.
ProUser
Users assigned the ProUser role have the same authorizations as the RegularUser role, except they can create, edit, and delete their own events, session attributes, hit attributes, step attributes, dimensions and dimension groups.
SessionDataAdmin
Users who are assigned the SessionDataAdmin role have access to the Data Export function with the same permissions as the OrgAdmin. The role is modeled after RegularUser role, with added access to the Session Export function.
Users assigned the SessionDataAdmin role can create, edit, and manage session export tasks.
OrgAdmin
OrgAdmin users can perform the following tasks:
- Edit company settings.
- View and edit the organization.
- View and access Admin workspaces
- Add applications to Experience Analytics.
- Create user accounts.
- Reset user passwords.
- Create, edit, and manage session export tasks.
- Create, view, or edit events, workspaces, and
reports.
The OrgAdmin role can modify reports, workspaces, and events that were created by users who are assigned the RegularUser role.
- For Acoustic Overstat® , OrgAdmin users can modify or delete any snapshots and stacks in the gallery.
- Manage and monitor all alerts.
- Use the MMI Report to view million monthly interactions (MMI) data for their organization. View and export application-level MMI data for their own organization.
RestrictedUser
The Restricted User role prohibits a user from accessing any Experience Analytics data source that contains personal data.
Personal data refers to any information that relates to a natural person (the Data Subject) who is or can be identified, directly or indirectly, by reference to an identifier such as a name, identification number, location data, online identifier, or to one or more factors specific to the physical, physiological, genetic, mental, economic, cultural, or social identity of that person.
Restricted Users have the following capabilities:
- Access to only those reports that do not include personal data.
- Use of session search to generate a list of sessions.
The Restricted User role prevents users from replaying sessions from the list of sessions returned.
The Restricted User role cannot access or use any session attributes in their session list view that are flagged as having personal data.
