Editing order line quantity
You can increase or decrease the quantity of an order line in an existing order and capture the payment details for the change in order total.
Procedure
- Log in to Sterling Store Engagement and switch to Customer Service View by using the eye icon.
- Search for the order and go to the Order Summary screen.
- Click Edit. The Edit Order screen opens.
- For the order line that you want to modify, enter the appropriate value in the Quantity field and click Update. Based on the value entered, the updated order total is displayed along with the payment due or the refund amount.
- Click Save. Based on whether you increase or decrease the order line quantity, an appropriate message is displayed. If you increase the order line quantity, you are prompted to proceed with payment. If you decrease the order line quantity, you are prompted to proceed with refund.
- Click Proceed to Payment or Proceed to Refund. The Capture Payment screen opens.

Depending on whether the customer needs to pay or you need to provide a refund, perform one of
the following steps:
- Pay:
- From the Payment Type list, select the appropriate payment method. For example, Credit Card, Cheque, and so on. Based on the selected payment method, enter appropriate details in the related fields. You can click Add another payment method to add additional payment methods if a customer's payments are spread across multiple payment methods.
- In the Amount field, enter the amount that the customer needs to pay for the order and click Pay. Once the payment is successful, a confirmation message is displayed with the payment details.
- Refund: In the Amount field, the refund amount is populated. Click Finish. Once refund is successful, a confirmation message is displayed with the payment details.
- Pay:
- Click View Order Summary. The Order Summary screen is displayed with updated order details.
