Finding shipments
As a store associate, you can search for any shipment across all stores of an enterprise and provide relevant and current shipment information to the customer.
About this task
You can search for a shipment from the current store and other stores in an enterprise, check for the status of the shipment, and directly proceed to the Pick order and Pack order screens.
Procedure
- Log in to Sterling Store Engagement.
- From the application menu, select Order fulfillment.
- In the More tasks portlet, click Find shipments.
- To search for a shipment, either scan the order or shipment number, or further refine
your search criteria by entering the advanced search criteria.
- Click Advanced search to further refine your search criteria.
- To search for pickup orders, enter the following search criteria:
- Expected shipping or pickup date
- Assigned to
- Include order being fulfilled by other stores is permission-controlled. You can include orders that are fulfilled by other stores, if allowed.
- To search for ship from store or transfer orders,
enter the following search criteria:
- Expected shipping or pickup date
- Carrier
- Assigned to
- Include order being fulfilled by other stores is permission-controlled. You can include orders that are fulfilled by other stores, if allowed.
Note: To view all shipments, leave all the fields blank under Advanced search. - To search for pickup orders, enter the following search criteria:
- Click Search.
- Click Advanced search to further refine your search criteria.
- You can view the order summary by clicking the order number for a shipment.
You can view details such as order status, customer name, order date, product description, delivery method, quantity, and item total.
You can click the Receipt button to print the receipt or send a copy of the receipt to the customer via email.
To select a payment method, click Payment method.
To view order total details, click Order total.
You can also cancel an order from the Order summary page by clicking Cancel order from the actions menu. For more information, see Canceling order.
- You can sort the search results in the Shipment search results screen. Click Sort, select a Sort by option, either Oldest to newest or Newest to oldest, and click Apply.
- The search results can also be filtered by shipment status. Click
Filter, select the shipment status that you want and click
Apply.Note: You can select multiple shipment statuses to filter.
- You can modify your search from the Shipment search results page by clicking Modify search.
- To view the summary of a shipment that is packed, picked, canceled, or being fulfilled by
other stores click the View button corresponding to that shipment.
You can view information such as the status, order number, expected ship date, order type, customer information, ship to information, shipped status, bill to information, assign to, shipping date, product details, SKU, and shortage of products if any.
On the Shipment summary screen, you can view product details by clicking the product name or image.
Note: You cannot pick or pack shipments that are being fulfilled by other store. You can view only the shipment details. - You can perform various actions from the Shipment search results
page such as pick an order, pack an order, or prepare an order to be picked up.
- In case of a shipment that is in Ready for picking or Picking in progress status, click Pick or Continue picking. The Pick order screen is displayed. - In case of a shipment that is in Ready for customer pickup status, click Pickup order. The Customer pickup screen is displayed. For more information, see Preparing orders for customer pickup.
- In case of a shipment that is in Ready for packing or Packing in progress status, click Pack or Continue packing. The Pack order screen is displayed. For more information, see Packing orders.
