You can move the products from the receiving location to an appropriate location for
future store operations after shipments are received in a store.
About this task
Note: Putaway is not supported for a single-location store.
Procedure
Putaway tasks are automatically created and the store associates can use these tasks to
complete this activity. To putaway products in a received shipment, complete the following
steps:

Log in to Sterling Store
Engagement.
- From the application menu, select Inventory
management.
- In the More Tasks portlet, click
Putaway.
- View the putaway task in one of the following ways:
- Click a count of the putaway tasks. A list of putaway tasks is displayed. Sort or filter the
putaway tasks, if required.
- Scan the shipment or carton number in the portlet.
You can view the putaway task details such as the putaway type, source location, shipment number,
receipt number, and the date on which the putaway task is created.
- Click Putaway.
- Scan the source location, followed by the serial or SKU of all the products in the
shipment.
Note: If location scan is not mandated, you can directly select items or serials without scanning
the locations..
- If something is damaged or there is an inventory shortage, click Record
shortage, select a reason, and click Done.
- If you want to pick all products together, click Pick all.
- Scan the destination location that is assigned by the system, followed by the serial or
SKU of the products that you want to place in the destination.
