Editing widget properties in an identifier screen
You can edit properties of newly added widgets and widgets provided out of the box.
Procedure
- Log in to Sterling Store Engagement. The home page opens.
- Go to the screen that you want to customize.
- From
the application header, click the Development Tools
icon
, and select Customize.
- Select the identifier screen that you want to customize.
- Select the widget whose properties you want to edit.
- In the Properties panel, select
a
tab and modify the widget properties as necessary.Important:

- You can add, edit, or delete all properties for newly added field widgets.
- There are some limitations to modify properties of
field widgets
that are provided out of the box. For example: Object properties such
as
SourceBindingcannot be edited or deleted.TargetBindingscan only be added, and so on.
- Any simple property can be added, modified, or deleted.
Container Example: Content Pane
- You can edit container
widget properties similar to that of field
widgets. Note: Content Panes must have
RepeatingBindingproperty and the property cannot be edited or deleted, if the widget is provided out of the box.
- For Content Panes that are referred, properties can be edited only if they are present in the widget.
- For newly added container widgets, properties can be added, modified, or removed. However, there are certain limitations to modify object properties for out of the box container widgets.
- Click Apply to view the changes made to the identifier screen. You can edit multiple properties and follow the same procedure.
- Once you complete your customization, click Save to save your extensions to the identifier screen.
- Click Close.
Note: After you save the extensions and close the workbench, you must refresh or reload the application to view the changes.
