You can create a department group for a store. For example, you can create an "Apparel"
group to include men's, women's, and kid's clothing departments.
Procedure
- Perform the following steps to view
store administration rules:

Log in to Sterling Business Center as a system
administrator.
- From the Organization menu, select
the organization for which you want to apply the rules.
- Click System Setup. The System
Setup home page opens.
- Expand the Store Administration menu.
A list of store administration rules is displayed.
- Click Configure Batches. The Configure
Batches window is displayed, with the Manage Department Groups panel.
Note: You can create a department group only for an organization that is configured as a
store.
- Click Add to add a new department group in Order Type Groups
panel. The New Value window is displayed.
- In the Department Group ID field, enter a unique value to identify
the group.
- In the Department Group field, enter an appropriate name for the
group.
- Click Save, the department group is created.
- Select the department group and the departments that you want to include in the
group.
- Click Save.
Results
If a department group is available, it is used as the criteria to create a batch of orders
in the Sterling Store Engagement application.
