Stopping servers on the next-generation platform

Users with the Developer role can stop single or multiple instances of agent and integration servers from the Server configuration tab.

About this task

When you select multiple servers, all agent servers, or all integration servers, all running instances of the selected servers are stopped. When you want to stop some running instances of a server, you can select that server and specify the number of running instances that you want to stop.

When you manually stop server instances, the running instances are stopped for that server irrespective of their schedule. For example, you schedule a server to start five instances and specify a duration to stop them after 2 hours. After these server instances are started and running, when you manually stop some instances for the same server before the scheduled duration of 2 hours, the server instances are stopped. The manual stopping of the server instances takes a precedence and overrides the scheduled duration.

Procedure

To stop servers, complete the following steps:

  1. Access Self Service with your IBMid.
  2. From the Self Service menu, click Environments.
  3. From the list of environments, select an environment.
  4. In the Server configuration tab, click Server processes.
  5. Click Stop servers.
  6. Select the servers that you want to stop.
  7. If you have selected a single server, the Number of instances to stop option is displayed. Enter the number of instances of the server that you want to stop.
  8. Click Submit.
