Environments in Self Service

When you log in to Self Service, you must select your organization and then access your environment.

Procedure

  1. To access any of your environments, click the menu icon that is next to IBM Sterling Order Management - Self Service. Click the Self Service menu and then click Environments.
  2. View the following environments that are available for you to work in separately in Self Service :
    • Development
    • QA
    • Master configuration
    • Nonproduction
    • Preproduction
    • Production
You can select an environment to view the environment details.
Note: Preproduction environments support performance and efficiency modes. Use performance mode to improve test performance and efficiency mode for general use. The system automatically returns to efficiency mode after idle periods. For more information, see Preproduction performance modes.
  3. To update the environment header or description, click the Edit icon. In the Update Environment display window, enter the environment header or description and click Submit.
As a user with an IBM support or operations role, you can edit the Environment Header only. As an Organization Administrator or a Developer you can edit the Environment Description only. If you have a mix of both of these roles you can update the environment header and the description.
  4. After you complete tasks for one environment, you can import or export those configurations to other environments.
  5. On the Environments tab, you can view the deployed Configuration Deployment Tool (CDT) version for each of your environments.
