Adding instructions for orders

You can add, edit, or delete instructions for an order. For example, adding instructions to personalize an order with a gift message on a sales order.

About this task

Whether you can modify an instruction depends on the order modification rules that are configured in the Applications Manager under Distributed order management > Document Specific > doc_type > Fulfillment > Order Modification > Order Modification Groups.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub
  2. Click Orders from the menu and search for the order that you need to modify.
  3. Go to the Order details page.
  4. Click the Instructions tab.
  5. To add an instruction, click Add.
  6. Complete the details of the Add instruction window.
    Field descriptions
    Field Description
    Instruction type Select the reason for adding the instruction from the list.
    URL Enter the instruction URL.
    Description Add a brief description in the description field.
  7. Click Done.
  8. To edit an instruction:
    1. Select the row from the Instructions table. Click Edit.
    2. Update the Edit instruction window and click Done
  9. To delete an instruction:
    1. Select the row from the Instructions table.
    2. Click Delete to delete the instruction.
  10. When you are done with your changes, on the Details page click Save to save the instruction to the order.
