Modifying service definitions

Modify a service definition to update reusable processing logic by adjusting subservices on the canvas. This procedure supports changing behavior, extending integrations, or refining logic without redesigning workflows that reference the service definition. Updating service definitions centrally helps maintain consistency and reduces the risk of duplicated or conflicting logic.

Procedure

  1. Log in to Order Hub.
  2. From the side navigation menu, select Configuration > Application platform > Process modeling.
  3. In the process modeling area, open the required process type by clicking the component.
  4. From the Service definitions list, select the service definition for which you want to modify.
    The system displays the service definition on the canvas.
  5. To view available subservices, in the canvas toolbar, click Transport types, Components, or Adapters.
  6. Drag one or more subservices to the canvas.
  7. Modify the required execution logic by arranging and connecting the subservices.
  8. Click Edit service.
    The system displays a popup window.
  9. In the Service group name field, enter a new service group name to represent the new service definition.
  10. Click Save.
