Tip: interactive guide available Interactive guide available - You can install Cloud Pak for Integration using an interactive guide to step you through the installation process. Get started.

Before you begin

This guide assumes you have:
  • prepared a Red Hat OpenShift cluster with appropriate storage (following the guidance in Planning).
  • plan to install the operators yourself.
Note: For methods of installation where the steps are partially (or completely) automated for you, see Installation options.
  1. Begin by making IBM Cloud Pak for Integration's operators available to the cluster.
  2. When the operators are available to your cluster, install them using the Operator Lifecycle Manager. An operator must be installed for each capability before an instance of that capability can be deployed.
  3. If you are using an internet-connected cluster, you need to add your entitlement key to namespaces where you want to deploy Cloud Pak for Integration instances so that images can be pulled from the IBM Entitled Container Fulfillment Registry:

  4. Deploy the Cloud Pak for Integration instance, which allows you to deploy and manage your instances from a central location.
  5. Deploy instances of the IBM Cloud Pak for Integration components that you intend to use. For more information, see Deploying instances of capabilities.
