Deployment wizard
Learn how to configure deployments.
The Deployment wizard is used to transfer content from one environment to another. The deployment wizard appears when you click the Deploy option under the screen. The wizard lists all published assets and related configurations from the source environment. These assets are organized under separate pages for easier viewing and navigation.
Parameters and variables
The Parameters & Variables page in the Deployment wizard allows you to review and configure parameters and variables before deployment.
The Parameters & Variables page is divided into two sections, Configure Parameters and Configure Variables.
Each section displays the configurations that are yet to be configured and previously configured. The configurations that appear under To be configured are for one of these reasons:
- A new parameter or variable has been added to an existing deployment.
- The parameter or variable properties has changed in the source environment since the last deployment.
The configurations listed under the Previously Configured section are those configurations that were already set in a previous deployment and have not changed in the source environment. Their current values are displayed for reference.
Additionally, you can view current values, update values manually, and overwrite values with those from the source environment.
Accounts
The Accounts page lists the connectors that are used in the integrations for the current deployment. You can configure the relevant accounts so that the integrations run without any errors. Otherwise, the integrations might fail due to accessibility or authentication failure issues. If multiple accounts are used in a workflow or flow service, then their references are also maintained in the deployment, to make sure that the workflow or flow service can link the correct account in the target environment.
The accounts page has the following sections:
- Accounts to be updatedA connector is listed under the Accounts to be updated section for one of the following reasons.
- You are deploying the workflow or flow service for the first time.
- The connector action is newly added to the already deployed workflow or flow service.
- If some configuration changes are made to the connector account at the source after the initial deployment.
- Previously configured accounts
A connector is listed under the Previously configured accounts section if it is part of an already deployed workflow or flow service and no configuration changes are made to the connector account before redeployment.
You can keep the previous account configurations as they are or specify a different account and provide dependent lookup field values to run the relevant action.
- Accounts drop-down menuThe Accounts drop-down menu has two sections:
- Unconfigured Accounts
- Accounts that are present in the incoming deployment are listed under the Unconfigured Accounts section.
- Configured Accounts
- Accounts that already exist in this project are listed under the Configured Accounts section. After you edit or configure an account, it moves from the Unconfigured Accounts section to the Configured Accounts section. Newly created accounts in the deployment wizard are also listed under the Configured Accounts section.
- Verify that all connectors are correctly associated with their respective accounts after deployment. Each connector clearly indicates the specific account it uses.
- You are not prompted to configure accounts for the SFTP, FTP, SMTP, SOAP, and REST connector types. These connector account configurations must be done after the deployment.
- You can publish a flow service that has a custom connector (SOAP or REST) if that connector does not exist in the destination environment. However, after deployment, you need to create an account and then reconfigure the flow service.
Triggers
The Triggers page lists the connectors that are configured with triggers for the current deployment. You can configure the relevant accounts so that the integrations run without any errors. Otherwise, the integrations might fail due to accessibility or authentication failure issues.
There are two sections on the Triggers page as follows.
-
Triggers to be updated
A connector is listed for one of the following reasons.- You are deploying the workflow or flow service for the first time.
- The connector trigger is newly added to the already deployed workflow or flow service.
- If configuration changes are made to the trigger account at the source after the initial deployment.
-
Previously configured triggers
A connector is listed if it is part of an already deployed workflow or flow service and no configuration changes are made to the connector account before redeployment.
