Editing reference data

Edit reference data inline without downloading or re-uploading the file.

About this task

You can edit reference data inline without downloading and re‑uploading the file. This allows you to make quick updates while staying in context. Before editing, preview the contents of the reference data file.

In the inline editor, you can:

  • Update individual cell values
  • Search rows
  • Add new rows
  • Delete existing rows
  • Duplicate rows
Note: The maximum supported file size for inline editing is 500 KB. Files larger than 500 KB open in Preview mode and cannot be edited.

Procedure

  1. Select the project where you want to edit the reference data. You can also create a new project.
  2. Open the reference data in Preview mode in one of the following methods:

    • Under Configurations > Flow service > Reference Data, select Preview from the menu.

    • In the Flow editor, click Preview in a reference data service step.
    The reference data is displayed in a tabular form.
  3. Click Edit to modify the reference data.
    The inline editor options are displayed.
  4. Click a cell to modify its value. Add, delete, or search for rows as needed.
  5. Click Save.
