Adding accounts and custom operations
Learn how to create a custom operation and an account for a predefined connector, Coupa.
About this task
Procedure
- Click Projects.
- Select a project and click Connectors > Predefined.
- Select Coupa.
- Add an account for Coupa.
- Provide the login endpoint to initiate communication with the SaaS provider.
- Provide the API key received from the user account.
- Click Add.
The Coupa connector is added in the Predefined Connectors list.
- Click the Flow services tab. Next, on the Flow services page, select the "+" icon.
- Provide the Flow service name, for example, CreateItems and an optional description for the Flow service.
- Type Coupa in the search box, select the Coupa connector, and then in the Type to choose action field, select Add Custom Operation.
- Follow the steps to create the CreateCoupaItems custom operation:
- Connect to account
- Connect to Coupa: Select or add an account associated with Coupa.
- Name: Provide a suitable name, for example, CreateCoupaItems
- Description: Provide a short summary, for example, Create item lists for Coupa
- Select functional area: Choose the relevant area, for example, Reference data
- Select the operation
Choose the operation to be performed. It determines the business object that you select in the next step. For example, create.
- Select the business object
Choose the business object to be associated with the operation. For example, items.
- Select the Data fields
Choose the data fields to use for the business object. For example, description, manufacturer-name, name.
- Confirm action
Verify the details and click Done to create the CreateCoupaItems operation.
- Connect to account
- Click the Map icon and provide the field values. Then, run the flow service and view the execution results.
