Disabling workflow actions

You can disable one or more actions in your existing workflows. This feature saves time by allowing you to skip actions without detaching or deleting them, which is especially useful in complex workflows.

About this task

Consider a workflow where, when a new board is created in Trello, its details are posted on a Slack channel and emailed to a group. If you want to skip the email part, simply disable the Send an Email action instead of removing it.

Procedure

  1. Hover over the action that you want to disable and click the overflow menu.
  2. Click the Disable Action icon.
You notice that the action is disabled at this point.
  3. Save the workflow.

Results

Now when you run this workflow, the disabled action is skipped from the execution sequence.

What to do next

To re-enable the action, hover over it again and click Enable Action from the menu.
