Updating package variables

View the variables that are added to your project through custom packages. Variables are used to store values that need to be shared or reused across different services.

About this task

All variables added to a project through a package are displayed in the Variables page. The variables can be either global or package-specific. The variables are accessible at the project-level and not across projects in a tenant.

Note: For project and tenant-level variables that are used in flow services, see About Tenant and Project Variables.

Procedure

  1. From the navigation pane, go to Projects and select a project.
  2. Click Configurations > General > Variables.

The Variables page displays all relevant variables, whether from the project or custom packages. These variables are accessible at the project-level and not across projects in a tenant.

  3. Click Edit to update the variables.
  4. In the Edit Variables dialog, enter the new value for the selected variable.
The previous value will be overwritten. These changes apply only to the current project and is not pushed to the external repository. If the variable was overridden from a self-managed runtime, that value takes precedence over the project-level update.
  5. Optional: Click Revert to restore the original value provided in the package. Currently the values are reverted only when you restart the Cloud Designtime.
  6. Click Sync variables to update the variables with the Cloud Designtime. This option is enabled only when the variables are not in sync with Cloud Designtime.
