Adding packages from IBM webMethods Package Registry

Add a package from IBM webMethods Package Registry to reuse existing functions in your project.

About this task

The Package Registry is a centralized, platform-managed repository used to store, manage, and share packages across projects. By using the Package Registry, users can easily discover, reuse, and manage packages throughout their lifecycle within the webMethods environment. For more information, see webMethods Package Registry (SaaS).

Procedure

  1. Open your project and click Packages.
The Packages page is displayed listing packages that are already added to the project.
  2. Click Add package > Package registry.
  3. In the Add Package page, provide the package registry details.
    1. In Select server, select a system where the package registry is hosted.
    2. In Select registry, select the directory under which the package is available.
The packages are listed based on your selection.
  4. Select the required package and click Next.
You can use the filter and search options to find the packages.
  5. In Select version, select a package version. Currently, only the latest available package version is listed.
  6. Do one of the following based on your needs.
    • Select Pull new version and click Pull new version to upgrade to a new version. This option is available only when the package is not available in the Cloud Designtime. Initiating the pull to a new version updates the package version across all projects that reference this package.
    • Select Add existing version to keep the current version. This option is available only when the package is available in the Cloud Designtime. If the same version already exists, click Continue.
The package is added to your project. The assets such as flow services, connectors, and other artifacts can now be used in your project.
