How do to retrieve the API key for PagerDuty

To retrieve or access the API key for PagerDuty, ensure that you are an admin or account owner of the PagerDuty account.

To generate and retrieve the API key for PagerDuty, do as follows:

1. Login to your PagerDuty account.

2. Click the API Access option under the Configuration tab.

3. To create a new API key, click the API Access option. A pop-up window appears on the screen. Click +Create New API Key to create an API key.

4. Provide a name or description for the API key in the Description field, for example, Test, and click Create Key.

   You can now see the API key, API Version and Access Level in the New API Key window.

   Copy this key and paste it in the API Key field of the Connect to PagerDuty window and then click Add. A connection is automatically created and added under the Connect to PagerDuty field. This connection is now available in all PagerDuty actions and triggers.
