Creating a time period definition
Follow this procedure to create a time period definition in the data repository.
Before you begin
Much of the activity of CICSPlex® SM is time dependent. CICSPlex SM must be able to accommodate any time-zone differences between entities. See Time zone planning for CICSPlex SM to get started before you create time period definitions.
About this task
When you create a time period definition, you must specify, in the Time zone (ZONE) field, a one-character code from A to Z that identifies the time zone to which this period definition applies. Time zone codes represent the single-character Greenwich codes, which are based on the 24 standard international time zones. Each code indicates the time zone's relationship to Greenwich Mean Time (GMT). Time zone codes identifies the time zone codes that you can use in a time period definition.
