Monitoring CICSPlex SM
There are several methods you can use to monitor CICSPlex SM.
Monitoring CICS resources
The CICSPlex SM monitor views provide a single-system image of the CICS resources for which resource monitoring has been requested.
Real-time analysis
You can use the real-time analysis (RTA) component of CICSPlex SM to analyze the status of one or more CICS regions and the resource information gathered about those systems. Based on its analysis, you can have CICSPlex SM generate external notifications when a condition occurs that you want to know about. In addition, you can have CICSPlex SM modify the attributes of a resource when it is not in the intended state.
Resource monitoring
CICSPlex SM provides facilities and views that you can use to monitor the resources in a CICSplex. It also includes sample tasks to help you establish resource monitoring at your enterprise.
