Service Component Architecture Assembly Model 1.0
Service Component Architecture Assembly Model 1.0 defines both a model for assembling tightly coupled and loosely coupled services and a model for applying infrastructure capabilities to services and to service interactions, including security and transactions.
Service Component Architecture (SCA) is a set of specifications that describe a programming model for building applications and solutions based on a Service Oriented Architecture (SOA). CICS supports only the SCA Assembly Model specification.
The specification has three parts:
- The first part provides an overview of the SCA Assembly Model.
- The second part describes the core elements of SCA, SCA components, and SCA composites.
- The third part describes how to extend the SCA Assembly Model.
The specification is published at https://www.oasis-open.org/committees/download.php/25342/SCA_AssemblyModel_V100.pdf. CICS does not support the OASIS SCA-Assembly 1.1 draft specification.
