An image artifact in Azure can be used to create a new virtual machine in Azure. The same
image can be deployed multiple times to create multiple Verify Governance virtual machines.
About this task
These instructions demonstrate how to perform the steps using the Azure Portal
(portal.azure.com). But you can also use the Azure CLI tools or any other Azure capable API to
complete these steps.
Procedure
-
In the Azure Portal, select Images.
-
Select the previously created Verify Governance image.
-
In the Overview pane, click Create VM.
-
In the Basics page:
- Enter a name for the new virtual machine.
- Enter a user name, and select the Password Authentication type. If you
provide a user name and password, or provide an SSH public key, Verify Governance will take no action. To login, use the
default admin user.
- Complete the form and click OK.
-
In the Choose a size page:
- Select an appropriate size for the new virtual machine, keeping in mind the recommended hardware
configuration.
- Click Select to continue.
-
In the Disk settings page, select Standard
HDD.
-
In the Settings page:
- Configure the network settings.
- Click OK to continue.
-
In the Summary page, revise the configuration and click
OK to create the Verify Governance virtual appliance.
-
After deployment is complete, shutdown the virtual machine and add two additional network
interfaces. Boot up the virtual machine again.
