Add custom link and description
In IBM Security Verify Governance version 10.0.1 Fix Pack 1 and later, the Administrator has the option to include a custom hyperlink along with description for the Access Certification requests and for Access requests. The custom link and the description are displayed to the line of business managers (reviewers/ approvers) when they approve or reject the requests.
Overview
When reviewing an approval request, any additional information about the request is helpful for the reviewers so that they can make an informed decision on the request.
In ISVG version 10.0.1 FP1 and later, the Administrator has the option to include a custom hyperlink along with description for the Access Certification requests and for Access requests. The custom link and the description are displayed to the line of business managers (reviewers/ approvers) when they approve or reject the requests.
Configuring and using custom link and description for Access certification
- Log in to the Administration Console.
- Click Access Governance Core.
- Go to Settings tab.
- In the Core Configurations tab, go to Access Certification section.
- Select the Enable Access Certification check box and provide the
following information:
- Custom Link: Enter a complete and valid URL that contains relevant information about the access certification request.
- Custom Description: Add a message (up to 128 characters) that will provide additional information to the reviewer.
- Click Save.
You have successfully enabled and configured the custom link and description for Access Certification.
- In Service Center, log in as reviewer/approver.
- From the main menu, go to Access Certification.
- In the Summary tab, click the campaign name which you want to review.
The Details tab shows Custom description as well as the Custom link. The same is also available in the pop-up that appears when you click the request ID.
- Click the custom link to open the specified link in a new tab.
Using the additional information provided in the custom link and custom description, the reviewer can choose how to proceed with the access certification request approval.

- In the Request Center for Others page, go to the appropriate context for which you want to process the access request, for example – Admin Delegation Auth.
- In the Actions column, click the View icon for the access request that you want to review. The Details tab shows Custom description as well as the custom link. The same is also available in the pop-up that appears when you click the request ID.
- Click the custom link to open the specified link in a new tab.
