Automatic location search order process for service requests

When searching for a service request (SR) record that is not linked with a map feature, the Auto-Locate function processes the information in a defined order.

The following table illustrates the order that the Auto-Locate function searches for a service request record that is not linked with a map feature.

Table 1. Service Request (SR) search process
If... Then...
If the service request is not linked with a map feature then the Auto-Locate function searches for the linked map feature of the service request's service address
If the service request's service address is not linked with a map feature then the Auto-Locate function searches for the X and Y coordinates of the service request's service address
If the service request's service address X and Y coordinates are not specified then the Auto-Locate function searches for the linked map feature of the SR's asset.
If the service request's asset is not linked to a map feature. then the Auto-Locate function searches for the service address X and Y coordinates of the SR's asset.
If the service address X and Y coordinates of the SR's asset are not specified then the Auto-Locate function searches for the linked map feature of the SR's location.
If the service request's location is not linked to a map feature. then the Auto-Locate function searches for the service address X and Y coordinates of the SR's location.
