You can add as many panels as you want to a tab. However, before you add a panel, consider that tabs with more panels take longer to load.
You might want to create custom tabs rather than adding to the Home tab to keep it tidy and to maintain performance. Also, you might want to use custom tabs to group related panels and widgets in separate places.
Panels might appear on your Home tab that you did not define. The administrator can define panels for the profile that you belong to. These panels are automatically displayed on your Home tab. You can rearrange them and hide them. Administrators can add or change the panels they defined at any time. If you configured your Home tab and an administrator later adds a panel to the Home tab, your layout remains unchanged and the new panel appears at the bottom of your Home tab.
Also, administrators can define Search panels that use global search. For more information, see Searching for objects using global search.
Regardless of where the panels come from, you can reposition a panel by dragging it and placing it where you want.
The configuration of each tab is saved in the database and not in the web browser cache. This means that you can clear the cache, switch to a different browser, or log in from a different computer without changing the configuration of your dashboard.
Panels are displayed side-by-side and down the screen. The screen width dictates how many dashboard panels are displayed side-by-side. On smaller screens, for example, on tablets and phones, panels might be displayed straight down the screen. Scroll down to see all panels. You can use a drop-down list to switch between tabs.
If the dashboard encounters a problem and cannot render, you can apply
safe mode by adding ?safeMode=1 to the end of the URL. The rendering process stops
and you can access the dashboard configuration to debug the problem. Remove
?safeMode=1 from the URL to exit safe mode.
